The maximum span between fixing points depends on the cable type, loading, sag, environmental conditions, and installation requirements. The catenary cable has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 200 kgf (2,000 N).

LED Puck Air is only available in IP67.

The maximum number of LED Pucks that can be connected to a single driver depends on several factors, including cable length and conductor size. As a general guideline, a single driver can support up to 35 LED Pucks over a maximum cable run of 100 metres (from the driver to the last luminaire) using 0.5 mm² cable.

Our standard wiring configuration is series.
For larger installations where a greater number of luminaires is required without increasing the number of cable pairs, we also offer parallel and series-parallel wiring arrangements. These configurations should be developed in consultation with Planet Lighting, as cable lengths, voltage drop, driver loading, and project-specific requirements must be assessed to determine the most suitable solution.

There is no universal spacing rule that guarantees compliance, as the appropriate spacing depends on numerous project-specific factors, including:
Applicable lighting standards and compliance requirements
Pathway width
Handrail height
Single-sided or double-sided illumination
Beam distribution
Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT)
Colour Rendering Index (CRI)
Surface reflectance of surrounding materials
Required horizontal and vertical illuminance
Uniformity requirements
These parameters should be evaluated through a lighting design and photometric assessment to determine compliant luminaire spacing.
Where a customer requests a preliminary spacing recommendation without a formal lighting design or compliance assessment, we typically suggest 1 metre centres as a practical starting point. This provides a balanced outcome between lighting performance and project cost, although final spacing should always be verified against the project's lighting requirements.

The LED Puck Snap range is supplied with an IP67 rating as standard. An IP68 rating is available as an option. Please note that the Lens, Solo RGBW, and Solo Tunable White variants are only available with an IP68 rating from the rear only.

The IK rating remains unchanged unless the luminaire is fitted with borosilicate glass. In that case, the applicable IK rating may differ due to the characteristics of the borosilicate glass.
